Demo Accounts

There are several demo accounts set up for you to use. These accounts will allow you to login and get the full Plone experience.

Content Contributor

A content contributor can add content and submit it for review.

Username:  content
Password:  content01

Content Reviewer

A content reviewer has the power to publish content that has been submitted for review.

Username:  reviewer
Password:  reviewer01

Site Administrator

A site administrator has super user powers. All features will be available for this user.

Username:  siteadmin
Password:  siteadmin01

Once You Are Logged In

Now that you have logged in you can add content, publish content and modify the site's settings. If you have never used Plone before, there is a free User's Guide to Plone available that can explain how to use the site from and end user perspective.

Site Setup

There are a lot of options that you can modify as a Site Administrator. Head on over to the Plone Control Panel to customize this site.

Alternate Themes

You can switch the theme of this Plone site by logging in as a site administrator and going to the Theme Control Panel and switching the Default Theme.

Adding Content

Adding content is really easy in Plone. Login as a contributor or administrator and then click on the "Add new..." dropdown menu. Select from one of the default content types, fill out the form and then submit. Don't forget to publish your new content item from the State dropdown menu sot that the world can see your new creation

Add-on Products

There are a few add-on products installed in this site that most sites might have installed:

PloneFormGen

A form generation product that allows you to create forms through the web.

CacheSetup

CacheSetup is a product that can enable caching for your Plone site. It has a variety of options that allow you to customize how the items in your site are cached. It can also work in conjunction with a proxy like Squid or Varnish.

LinguaPlone

This product allows you to translate the dynamic content in your site into several languages. Enable more languages in the Language Control Panel

PrintingMailHost

This is a product that intercepts emails sent through Zope's MailHost and prints them out to the console. This would only be used in a debugging environment. It is installed here to prevent email abuse.
